Every season is beautiful in St Ives but we will always have a soft spot for spring. Surrounded by blossoming flowers, the promise of new life, and some long awaited sunshine, spring is the season of hope and looking to the future. From baby seals to local festivals, here’s a rundown of our favourite things to do in and around St Ives in the next few months.
BABY SEALS IN THE HARBOUR
Baby seals will shortly be turning up in the harbour and we are so excited because they are just the cutest! A day seal spotting is perfect for the whole family to enjoy and provides some great photo opportunities.
OUR ESTATE IN FULL BLOOM
Because of the beautiful climate here in Cornwall, our estate will come into full bloom in the early spring. And what a sight it is. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter for updates as the estate blossoms over the coming months.
PORTHLEVEN FOOD FESTIVAL – 21ST – 23RD APRIL
Following last year’s incredibly successful Mad Hatter theme, this year they are championing all things “Under the Sea”. Expect a plethora of delicious, locally sourced seafood and fantastical creations to come.
ST IVES MAY DAY – 5TH MAY
Celebrate the end of winter with us here in St Ives. As we shake off the cold and welcome the tropical summer climate we know and love, join the parades and parties as we rekindle our connection to the past.
ST IVES FOOD FESTIVAL – 13TH – 14TH MAY
A celebration of the very best of Cornish food and drink. Join in the festivities throughout the town including cooking demonstrations, food tasting, wine sampling, and more!
