Signature Collection - Stay in Luxury self catering properties

We all know that St Ives is the ultimate family holiday destination in the summer but what about off season? As the summer comes to a close and it’s time to pull on those wooly jumpers some of the most beautiful aspects of our gorgeous home town come to light. With a vast array of culture, and fewer travellers seeking a spot in the same place, Cornwall really comes into its own as a relaxed cultural hub in the off-season months. Here are our favourite things to do in St Ives in the Autumn and Winter months.

Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden (Tate St Ives)

Get in touch with your artistic side at this fantastic museum and garden dedicated to the works of Barbara Hepworth. Marvel at the impressive sculptures and delve a little deeper into the creative mind and life of one of Britain’s most important twentieth century artists.

Shanty Baba Storyteller

Not for the faint of heart, this is the home of St Ives’ spooky side. A perfect venture around halloween let the Shanty Baba lead the way through the coastal town as “an eerie darkness falls over St Ives”. Choose from the Lantern Ghost Storywalk where you can explore the most haunted places in town, the St Ives Pirate Walk (yes there is a pirate-y dress code!) perfect for all ages, or the Kama Sutra Comedy Show (adults only).

Circuit Switch Festival (Tate St Ives) 23 – 24th September 2016

Explore an emerging range of art, music, performance, exhibitions, and workshops created by young people for young people. Including freerunning, light projections, spoken word, digital animation, and dance you really will find something for everyone at this unique and exciting two day festival. Look out for Street Motions active freerunning workshops and watch as hip hop meets ballet in a unique performance by Cornwall based Big Dance Company.

Quiet, calm stroll on the beach

Summer may have flown the nest but the many beaches of St Ives are still amazing in the colder months. Whether you want a quiet romantic walk on a breezy Autumn afternoon or perhaps a Boxing Day stroll along the sand and (hopefully!) snow with your family, believe us when we say our coastline is gorgeous all year round. Make sure to wrap up warm though – Autumn/Winter by the coast can be a chilly one!

So start the fires, pull on those jumpers and the fluffy socks, and cosy on up in an Autumn/Winter getaway to St Ives for just £59 per room.
