Breakfast is the most important meal of the day so we’ve decided to expand our breakfast offering to provide you with more options to start the day right. We caught up with Head Chef, Ross Cook, about some of our latest additions.
Q. Why are you offering this new menu?
A. The most important thing to us is choice. We recently introduced a room only rate at the hotel as well as our usual B&B rates, so this menu provides a wide range of options to start each day at Tregenna alongside the usual breakfast buffet.
Q. Is the general public welcome to breakfast?
A. Yes, absolutely. We encourage everyone, guest or otherwise, to join us for a hearty breakfast overlooking St Ives Bay. The views from our Brasserie are fantastic and together with the new menu, form the perfect pick me up for the start of the day.
Q. What time is the à la carte breakfast menu served?
A. We serve every day from 9am – 11.30am. So whether you want to stop in for granola with natural yogurt at 9 or kick start your day with a brunch cocktail (I’d recommend the espresso martini), we have the perfect choice to get you going.
Q. What is your favourite dish on the menu?
A. It has to be my signature dish [Tregenna Hash] which includes sautéed potatoes, onion, garlic, smoked bacon, chorizo, and either poached or fried egg. The flavour combinations are unbelievable and it fills you up until lunch. Follow that up with an espresso martini and I can assure you your energy levels will be high!
