Things to do in Cornwall this Halloween
It’s that time of year again when Cornwall starts to look a little creepy.
From pumpkin carving to paranormal tours, we’ve narrowed down the top Halloween events taking place in Cornwall this October. And there really is something for everyone.
Halloween at Bodmin Jail
Monday 18th - Sunday 31st October 2021
Bodmin Jail will be serving up all things grim and ghastly, with Scary Cinema Nights (18+ only!), Paranormal Tours, and their all-night ghost hunting-inspired event, the After Dark Experience.
They’ll also be hosting a weekly ghost walk, which allows you to walk in the footsteps of a prisoner from the old Court Rooms to the point of execution.
Halloween is when Bodmin Jail is at its busiest, so be sure to book early to avoid disappointment!
Halloweden October Half-term
Saturday 23rd - Sunday 31st October 2021
This October, you can expect all sorts of tricks and treats at The Eden Project. Solve the creepy clues in the puzzle trail, learn about the visiting feathered friends from the Screech Owl Sanctuary, and make some magic at the Potion Making Workshop.
Plus, they’ll also be welcoming back their ice rink - just in time for a spooky skating session.
The Wizards of Once Halloween Quest at Pendennis Castle
Saturday 23rd - Sunday 31st October 2021
Inspired by Cressida Cowell’s best selling Wizards of Once series, this all-new adventure trail will be open from Saturday 23rd October. Beginning at the castle, your journey will take you on a quest to find the ingredients for a powerful spell to save the day.
Expect all the usual magic of Pendennis Castle, plus a few creepy crawlies, snakes and spiders.
Be sure to come along in fancy dress to be in with a chance of winning big prizes!
Pumpkin carving workshops at Healeys Cyder Farm
Saturday 16th - Sunday 31st October 2021
For two weeks only, the Rattler Bar will be transformed into a family-friendly pumpkin carving workshop where little (and big!) kids can spend an hour carving a spooky pumpkin to take home.
Tickets cost just £6, plus, this includes general admission to the farm, where you’ll be able to meet the friendly farm animals, learn more about cyder-making in the museum, and enjoy free tastings in the distillery.
