Wedding Day

Tregenna Castle is licensed for year round indoor weddings in a choice of five rooms. Couples can also choose to get married outdoors from May to September in the beautiful pavilion that overlooks St Ives and the Atlantic below.

To make life easier for the wedding party, the hotel has Castle Beauty and Hair by Sara Veal onsite so everyone can be tended to for the big day. The groom’s party may even enjoy a round of golf before the event. Tregenna’s Special Touches give you some extra treats to consider.

Helping you to plan your day

  • Wedding ceremony: Church – 45 mins, Civil – 20 mins
  • Arrival drinks and canapés on lawn: Approx 30 mins
  • Photographs around the grounds: At least an hour
  • Line up: 20-45 mins depending on numbers
  • Wedding breakfast: Approx 2 hours
  • Followed by the cake cutting, toasts and speeches and finally the evening reception.

Tregenna Castle is licensed for weddings and civil partnerships throughout the year that can accommodate from two to 160 people. The wedding itself takes place in the form of a traditional registry ceremony which normally takes about 20 minutes. From May to September outdoor ceremonies take place in the beautiful pavilion set in the picturesque gardens with panoramic sea views. Up to 120 guests can enjoy this lovely scene.

Our experienced team will help relieve you of the day to day stresses of planning a wedding.  With experience of over a thousand weddings between them, Keira, Morwenna, Mandy and Sarah-Jayne will assist in helping make your special day absolutely perfect.

Keira Beattie - Conference and Banqueting Manager

Keira has a wealth of experience and has worked in the hospitality industry since the age of 13!  Since then Keira has worked in hotels across the country including Tregenna between 2010 to 2012 before returning home to Aberdeen, Scotland.

Cornwall held too many great memories and in 2015, Keira and her family returned and came back to Tregenna where she now manages all the events and conferences.

Having organised over 300 weddings, Keira will make sure your wedding goes without a hitch.

Keira Says – ” Since leaving in 2012 to have my 4 children, I couldn’t wait to get back to Cornwall and start at Tregenna again. I am very proud to work with such a great team of people and can’t wait to help make your wedding perfect.”

Morwenna Rice – Conference & Banqueting Co-ordinator

Morwenna has worked at Tregenna for nearly 5 years and is a crucial member of the events team. Having organised over 150 weddings and 50 events including school and college proms, her wealth of experience and attention to detail is fantastic.

Morwenna Says – “I absolutely love working at Tregenna and each event is always so different. I really enjoy bringing ideas to life and it is very rewarding to watch all the happy faces at the wedding knowing that it has been a success!”

Morwenna is currently on maternity leave but she will be back soon!  We look forward to her return.

Mandy Bilsland - Conference and Banquet Co-ordinator

Mandy has worked at Tregenna for 9 years and has a wide range of experience within different sectors of the hotel.  Her positive attitude and fantastic customer service stood out and she is a brilliant new addition to the wedding team.

Sarah-Jayne Charlton - Conference and Banqueting Co-ordinator

Sarah-Jayne has worked at Tregenna for just over a year. Sarah-Jayne’s bubbly and helpful attitude and excellent customer service within the reservations team stood out to senior management and she was asked to take on a new position within our events team as a new Conference and Banqueting coordinator.
